"I would expect no less and I would do whatever it took to survive too." Jesse starts to go on to explain what he is feeling but stops short of doing
so.

"Ah, but you feel that Evil will corrupt no matter what, and since I have spent so much time down there, I must also be corrupted." she says.
"Fair Game. If I tried to pretend that I had no evil thoughts I would be a liar. And if I tried to pretend that I never did an evil act while I was down
there I would be trying to fool only myself. No, Sandy knows more about this than he has said; he was my "confessor" while I was still in the other
realm."
"In any case, we still have a lot of souls to send to heaven." I point out. And turn back to the line waiting anxiously. "Next!"

"Evil will corrupt. I know that personally because I fight it within myself every day. I don't expect you to pretend to be someone you aren't so
don't expect me to pretend to be someone else either. When I feel something is amiss I'm going to react to it. And I feel something isn't right
here."
Jesse steps away from the altar. "If you'll excuse me, I need to get some fresh air." He casts a look at the others in the room before leaving. |

Joyti turns back to the other souls and looks around. The pain is still there, even though she knew it would be, knew that it wouldn't simply disappear
when she got out of that other realm. But it doesn't make it any easier.
Many years of fighting it all alone kick in and she decides that maybe she needs to be somewhere else also. She walks to the back of the apt and heads into the bedroom. |

Lyssa watches Jesse walk out and then Joyti leaves as well. She turns to Sandy, Isabell, and Wolf and Jane "I'm gonna go talk to Jesse, I think
ya'll can handle the rest of these ladies, and I think Padre needs to go talk to Joyti." She grins at the Healer "Unless he figures it'd be
safer to send Isabell or Jane in when Joyti is in this type of mood. Sometimes being a husband don't mean you won't get something thrown at ya ya
know?"
She nods to Liam and he picks up the signal to stay there, just in case. She leaves the room and heads down the hall to Jesse's room. |

There is a 'negation in the air' as though a ballon has just imploded and stayed in the collapsed state, i.e. a hole.
"Crap" mouths sandy. "Just what I didn't need. LIAM!!!" The centuar jumps, but if it wasn't for my battle trained skills, I wouldn't have noticed it. "Field Marshall Liam, Front and Center!!"

"Actually I'm more of a Captain of the Guard but ok." Liam says and goes over to Sandy. "You called Milord?" he asks, all business
suddenly.
|
|||
Padre Mellyrn |

|
"Well, actually as of now, your are 'Field Marshall'. Your word will be as good as mine. You take the women that are just needing someone to say,
'Your Forgiven', and say it. They will even tell you that is all they want. You know the kind. Like this one here".
And Sandy turns to one of the spirit ladies next to him and says, "What it you require to be set free?" She looks from one to the other, Liam back to Sandy and back to Liam. "I would just like someone to hear me and understand." "Alright" he says, "But first I would like to make clear to all in this room," the voice not really rising, but so well projected it stops the milling and the murmur, "That when the this man 'Field Marshall Liam" speaks, it is if I said it. If he says your forgiven, take it as so, he will talk to you and ask you what you need. If you need only 'a penence and forgiveness', then you have all served your penetence and are hereby forgiven, so I decree, Lord-Captian General of the Army School of Mellryn. I also the high Confessor, and so can forgive a lot of so called sins." He stops and takes a breath. Liam looks slightly taken back, as though he is not sure where this is going. Around us, several of the spirits turn bright white and disappear. I look and the lady is still standing there. "What further do you need sister?" You heard that simple penece..." "Yes, yes, I heard that, "she snaps" but I need a man to forgive me. I done a man wrong or so I thought, later when I saw him in hell, I found out that it wasn't a wrong, but a misunderstanding. Still, he was hurting and couldn't find in his heart to forgive himself, but said that if I could find a man who would hear my story, and say0 'I forgive' and mean it, then I could be freed. I just need a man to say that to me." Sandy turns to Liam and says, "You know I think this one is right up your ally." Turning back to the women he says "Remember, if he says it, I said it, and my word is golden.

"Thanks Sandy." Liam replies, silently reminding himself to thank Lyssa for leaving him here like that, and then turns to the woman.
"Please tell me what happened Milady." he says with a gentle smile. She looks at him for a moment as if not sure she can trust him and he replies "I promise you that what you tell me will go no further. You are among friends who wish only to help you." |

"I was supposed to be meeting him for a date. Had I kept the date he would have asked for my hand and his parents would have been happy. They had picked
me for him. I couldn't do it, I just couldn't and so I ran away and ended up in a brothel. He married another young girl and was slain in battle, and
his soul had negative balance because of the war atrocities he committed, as do all soliders."
She stop for a moment and drys her eyes. They are wet and her ghostly skin glows green under the glistening droplets. "For years I was sure it was my fault the got killed in battle with a negative soul. He was mad from rejection. Or so I thought. He later confessed that he didn't really love me either and he really wanted to marry someone else, but the parents would approve." "So we both end up in hell for things that we did to one another, and have to learn to forgive. All I need is for your to say you forgive me and I can go to heaven." |

Liam smiles at her and says "Neither of you did anything wrong to the other. You can't control who you fall in love with, something his parents should
have been wise enough to know, but parents mess up sometimes. You each knew if you had married it would have just ended up in pain for you both. Yes you should
have told each other that sooner but I can't fault either of you for it because you were both young and trying to do the right thing by each other. I
promise you he will learn to forgive himself for what duty required him to do, as he would have done so eventually in life had he been given the chance. That
is something all warriors must learn one way or the other, I'm still doing it myself. But I think he is on his way since he gave you the way to save
yourself. So I will give you what you ask for. I forgive you my friend. Please go in peace."
The woman smiles and then before the light takes her she kisses Liam on the cheek. "Thank you and good luck with your own journey." She fades up to the sky and Liam smiles watching her. |

Jesse returns to the room with concern etched on his face but he does his best to hide it. When he looks at Liam standing up at the altar with a frazzled
expression, a smile crosses his face.
"A little out of your comfort zone, Captain?" Jesse chuckles lightly. |

"Do I detect the presense of my husband, and his 'gift for promotion'? I see he pressed you into service, did he hand you any titles besides
"Oh God?"
|

LyssaStarchylde |

"Well I'm now Field Marshal Liam." Liam laughs. "I know my father hoped I'd advance quickly and all but this is a bit quicker than even
he planned."
Lyssa chuckles and says "As long as you don't try to order me around all is good." Liam rolls his eyes at even considering that suicidal course of action. "I think I will stick with the battlefield and leave the spiritual to those more skilled." he says and Lyssa replies "I said that once and no one heard one bit of it." |

As the two speak there comes a murmering from the corner where Sandy is then the words "Pies Jesu Domini, Donna eis Requiem". And another three or
four of the ghosts disappear. "Next".

LyssaStarchylde |

"Oh I am not gonna go anywhere near that last remark." Lyssa laughs. "I figure that should be between you and your wife my dear friend."
She looks around casually and says "By the way, where is Padre? Did he go talk to Joyti like I suggested?" She is still trying to figure out how she and Jesse and Liam are gonna handle Joyti while Sandy Isabell and Jane and Wolf deal with Padre. |

Padre Mellyrn |

"Huh? Oh, ya. He did. Right after you left she broke into tears, so he went to console her."

"Oh, that may be a bad thing. Isabell, bring Sandy up to speed on what we are thinking. I'll go see if I can get Padre to come out."
Jesse moves through the room to the bathroom door. He knocks and says, "Padre? You got a minute? I need to talk to you." |
